Originally set up by Adam Berber in 2000 with one under 8's team playing in the South Dublin Football League (SDFL) our junior set up has grown substantially in
four seasons. Playing seven-a- side football we now have a total of five teams, Under
11's,10's, 9's, 8's and an Academy set up for players seven years and under.(the
Parkvale stars of the future)
We have a total of 58 junior members with approx.50 families on a waiting list to join the club.
The committee at Parkvale are delighted to announce Rockbrook Park School as our
new venue (both for playing and training) for our Junior section. Training under
the lights on the astro turf takes place every Monday and Wednesday nights @
7pm.
PFC's Schoolboy Philosophy.
Football is all about letting the players enjoy themselves
whilst introducing them to the game of soccer. Winning surely is not the
be all and end all, it should be about participating and enjoyment. Allow the
boys to play the game. Every encouragement must be given to them and their
efforts must be appreciated.
Let the managers do the talking and everybody else will do the supporting.
Criticism will only put the players off the game and they may lose interest and
be lost forever.
Parkvale Football Club's philosophy is very clear, for the sake of the
players just let them get on with learning the basics and enjoy the game.
